Chasing Shadows: Teacher Feedback

After our Rough cut was complete we showed it to our teacher in order to receive some feedback to identify what was good about the opening of our film and the things that didn't quite work and needs to be improved.

These are a list of the compliments we received regarding the opening 2 mins of our film :

• We feared that our storyline would be quite complicated however, our media teacher, Marissa said it was clear and easy to understand. We were very pleased with this comment
• Marissa was also pleased with the range of shots. She was happy with the variety of shots we used which included: jump cuts, establishing shots etc.
• She enjoyed the acting from all characters 

Constructive criticism comments:

• some jerky shots in the start that need to be fixed 
• some shots have poor lighting 
• lack of continuity in the end of the opening. 

To improve we are going to re-shoot parts of the lift scene as we realised that using different lifts is noticeable. The beginning of the opening has some shots that were not filmed well so we are going to cut them out. The film still does not have the screen idents so they need to be added.
