The main aspect of our film is about "stalking" so we came up with a few ideas about the title of our title of our movie. the following list consists of our idea:

We asked people which title appealed to them most and over all they liked chasing shadows therefore we decided on keeping our title: chasing shadows.
Brief outline of the whole film
The film is about an arrogant young boy, 17 years old, who believes he is too "cool for school". One school night he ends up being locked inside the college while staying back to finish his coursework. He encounters a stranger in the college with him, however he cannot distinguish the persons appearance and it is not revealed whether this stranger is real or a figment of his imagination. Throughout the film he battles to come to terms with the deceptive situation as the stranger seemingly tries to attack him, both mentally and physically. This film is about psychological mind games.
Outline of the opening scene
It's a cold dark day and Marcus Mensah stays back after school to finish off unfinished coursework. After ten minutes of work he becomes tired and falls asleep. He has a strange dream about being killed and wakes up in shock. He then realises that it was a dream but something doesn't seem right. Marcus realises that he is locked inside the college, and it is late at night. Then the unusual events begin to unfold. Is there somebody else in the college trying to hurt Marcus, or is it all in his head?
SUBGENRE
The main sub genre of our film is Psychological Thriller which has a horror element. Real film openings that have inspired us are Insidious, Saw and Carrie.
Insidious was a massive inspiration because it has psychological aspects as the main horror scenes take place in another dimension in the mind.

Saw was an inspiration because the main character 'Jigsaw' plays mind games and the opening scene of the first saw film starts off in a dark place. The horror lifts off straight away.
Carrie inspired us because it takes place in a school which gets locked by the main character who is also the instigator of the horrific events that take place in the film.
