What happens at the beginning of a film?
-The film starts off with an institution indent, such as 20th century fox
-Then, a Production company is introduced e.g. Walt Disney Studios
- The title sequence, including cast members and film name is shown
Music is played to create a particular mood and atmosphere. For example, tense music would be played for a thriller movie.
Then the location the film is set in is established and key characters are introduced.
The genre of the film is conveyed through camera angles/shots, mis en scene etc
Finally, the film begins so there is a sense of a plot/storyline
